Hawksburn is a locality in the eastern part of South Yarra, bordering Toorak. It is probably best known for its railway station and nearby “Hawksburn Village”, a small strip shopping centre on Malvern Road. Many of South Yarra’s finest old homes and terraces are located close to Cromwell Crescent and the railway station in the Hawksburn area. The Hawksburn area is a fashionable address, due to its locality at the centre of Stonnington. Hawksburn Post Office opened in 1890.

The “Domain Precinct” is the most prestigious part of South Yarra, traditionally home to many of Melbourne’s old money families. Bordered by Punt Road, Toorak Road, Anderson Street, St Kilda Road and Alexandra Avenue, the Domain Precinct has recorded some of Victoria’s highest land values on a square metre basis. Driven by proximity to the Botanical Gardens, Melbourne’s elite private schools and boutique shopping, this area is graced with both large mansions and high-end apartments. The most valuable streets include Walsh Street, Fairlie Court, Avoca Street, Caroline Street, Anderson Street, Domain Road and Marne Street.

We gave Hutch a call after arriving in Jam jerrup after a 3 hour drive and our fridge in the back of the ute was not running. He just shook his head at the way it had been set up 3 years earlier. We organised to come back the next week and get it done correctly. Hutch was very professional, explained what he did, well priced and everything is running so much better now. Hutch was fantastic. I’ve got an an old BMW from the 2000’s which can be notoriously difficult to diagnose when things go wrong. He got to the problem quickly, sorted out a solution and all for a reasonable price. Can highly recommend!

Firstly thanks mate for rectifying the ECU throttle body issue on our courtesy car.We run a busy business in Automotive as well and from time to time there are cars that can be troublesome, Hutch came to our workshop and assisted in diagnosing a fault that was didifficult for other specialists . I called Hutch for some assistance with my VS Ute. Hutch came out the same day that I called (which was outstanding!!) and fixed all that needed to be fixed. Hutch is brilliant! I had a bus load of country kids on a camp and was stranded in Melbourne on a rainy, miserable day. Had to get the kids 450km back home. Not knowing Melbourne or any services available, after 4 failed attempts to get assistance I stumbled across Hutch who did not hesitate to help. What a pro! Hutch came out to fix a couple of mystery issues on my van. He arrived exactly when he said he would, and knew exactly what he was doing. He fixed everything quite quickly, and at a very reasonable cost. Highly recommend using first aid auto electrical.
